Why Areola Reduction?
At Elysian Plastic Surgery, areola reduction is a precise surgical procedure designed to decrease the diameter of enlarged or asymmetrical areolas—enhancing the overall balance and aesthetics of the breast. Over time, or due to genetics, pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight fluctuations, or prior breast surgeries, the areola (the pigmented area surrounding the nipple) can stretch or appear disproportionately large. Areola reduction corrects this, creating a more proportionate and refined look that aligns with the natural breast shape.
DR. BRIAN’S PROCESS
The procedure involves removing a circular ring of tissue from the outer edge of the areola, typically using a technique that preserves nipple sensation and minimizes visible scarring. Areola reduction is frequently performed in combination with breast lift, augmentation, reduction, or nipple reduction, but can also be done as a standalone procedure under local anesthesia with minimal recovery time.
At Elysian Plastic Surgery, we focus on subtle, natural-looking refinement—ensuring that your results enhance the overall aesthetic of your breasts while maintaining symmetry, proportion, and individuality. Every procedure is personalized to your anatomy and goals, with results that are both tasteful and timeless.
