Why Upper Blepharoplasty?
At Elysian Plastic Surgery upper blepharoplasty is a precise and effective procedure that rejuvenates the upper eyelids by removing excess skin, fat, and tissue that contribute to a tired, heavy, or aged appearance. Over time, the upper eyelids can begin to droop or sag due to natural aging, genetics, or even lifestyle factors—causing hooding over the eyes and, in some cases, visual obstruction.
DR. Biggerstaff's PROCESS
This procedure involves a carefully placed incision within the natural crease of the upper eyelid, allowing for the removal of redundant skin and contouring of the underlying fat pads if needed. The result is a more open, alert, and youthful look that still feels and appears entirely natural. Because the incision is hidden in the eyelid fold, scarring is minimal and discreet once healed.
Blepharoplasty is performed in our accredited, private ambulatory surgery center and as a stand-alone procedure, typically requires only local anesthesia with or without sedation. It can be performed as a standalone procedure or in combination with lower blepharoplasty, brow lift, or facial fat grafting for more comprehensive rejuvenation. At Elysian Plastic Surgery, our approach to eyelid surgery is guided by balance, restraint, and an understanding of facial harmony—ensuring that your refreshed appearance reflects your natural beauty, never an altered one.
