Why Earlobe Repair & Reduction?
At Elysian Plastic Surgery, we offer expert earlobe procedures to address a range of concerns, including stretched, torn, elongated, or sagging earlobes. Whether the result of heavy earrings, gauges, trauma, or the natural aging process, our earlobe repair and reduction techniques restore a more youthful, symmetrical appearance with subtle, natural-looking results.
DR. Biggerstaff's PROCESS
Whether you’re restoring your earlobes after years of stretching, reversing the effects of trauma, or seeking a more youthful proportion, Elysian Plastic Surgery delivers refined, natural results with the highest standard of surgical precision. We specialize in the following:
Gauged Earlobe Repair: For patients who have intentionally stretched their earlobes, we carefully excise the dilated tissue and reconstruct the lobe to restore a smooth, natural contour. This allows for a return to conventional appearance and proportion, often in a single outpatient procedure.
Torn or Stretched Piercing Repair: Earrings can gradually stretch piercings or tear through the lobe entirely. We excise the damaged area and precisely close the site with fine suturing techniques. Once healed, most patients are able to re-pierce if desired.
Earlobe Reduction: Aging, genetics, or large piercings can lead to earlobes that appear disproportionately long or sagging. Earlobe reduction involves the removal of excess tissue while maintaining the natural curvature and contour of the lobe, resulting in a smaller, more youthful appearance.
