Why Mini-Abdominoplasty?
At Elysian Plastic Surgery, mini abdominoplasty—or mini tummy tuck—is a less invasive version of a full tummy tuck, ideal for patients with mild to moderate lower abdominal skin laxity or a small amount of stubborn fat below the belly button. It’s a popular option for individuals who are otherwise in good shape but are frustrated by a small “pooch” or loose skin that doesn’t respond to diet or exercise—often following pregnancy or minor weight changes.
Unlike a full abdominoplasty, the mini tummy tuck focuses exclusively on the lower abdomen and does not involve muscle repair above the belly button. A short, low incision is used to remove excess skin and refine the contour of the lower abdominal wall. In many cases, liposuction is combined to enhance definition of the waistline and flanks, providing a smooth and natural transition from the lower abdomen to the hips.
DR. BRIAN’S PROCESS
The procedure is performed in our fully accredited, on-site ambulatory surgery center under general or local anesthesia with sedation, and recovery is typically quicker than with a full tummy tuck. At Elysian Plastic Surgery, we tailor mini abdominoplasty to patients who want a subtle yet impactful improvement in contour, with less downtime and scarring—delivering results that are clean, refined, and confidence-boosting.
