Why Breast Implant Illness?
At Elysian Plastic Surgery we recognize that some patients with breast implants experience a constellation of symptoms commonly referred to as Breast Implant Illness (BII). These may include fatigue, joint or muscle pain, brain fog, anxiety, rashes, hair loss, and other non-specific systemic symptoms that patients feel are linked to their implants. While BII is not yet fully understood within the scientific and medical community, we believe every patient’s experience is valid—and that symptoms deserve to be taken seriously and addressed with care.
DR. BRIAN’S PROCESS
For patients who suspect their implants may be contributing to systemic symptoms, we offer comprehensive breast implant removal (explant surgery), including options for en bloc capsulectomy and total capsulectomy, when appropriate. Our surgical approach is always tailored to your anatomy, health history, and specific concerns, with a strong emphasis on safety, transparency, and long-term wellness.
At Elysian Plastic Surgery, we take the time to listen to your symptoms, answer your questions, and guide you through the decision-making process with empathy and expertise. We are committed to supporting your health journey—whether your goal is symptom relief, peace of mind, or a return to a more natural state—through surgical precision, clinical integrity, and personalized care.
